The craters in a pillaged field...
There's fire in my village and the world has turned to ash
The dust is always the same...
I've lost everything to the one who holds the Earth
And my way into the void is stalked by dreams
Of angry hollow eyes grinning: the skull that mocks me!
While faceless destruction rains down
On those who would thirst
For water that heals our wounds
With the creature lying dormant
Inside me, inside you, at the center of the world!
It emerges just to fight!
For good, for evil, for justice... the chance to be obeyed
The Sovereign, ghastly, unafraid
The one that leads the way
Forwards, upwards, to heaven!
I have seen the face of God!
His skull... His eyes...
I keep them in jars upon my mantle
